I got it as a bit of sarcasm Damon thru out after comments here convinced him to pass on the piece even before Roger got back to him.

Yeah, that's how it was meant, I'd threw the money away because I'd already gave up on the piece.

That's interesting. Could you tell me - was this based on the image alone or was the link to the auction and/or further info provided about its history?

I originally just sent the picture, I've sent a reply stating the history Etc. So I'll see what he comes back with.
