The pleasure is all mine!
Thanks Ian, JJ, and Robert. You certainly have given some great feedback. This comes from a great source although I started discussion because the "E" in his last name was off and the signature does have a smoother look than expected. And, Ian, sharing your family's experience is a part of this hobby I enjoy hearing about the most.
Obviously, I will look deeper and see all your valid points. Thanks a million!
Too cool, Ian. I've seen these before and someday I hope to get one, but it will never have the meaning of your story! I bet your wife remembers how tall he was - 6'5". Great to hear that he was nice. He's been gone 24 years now - RIP.
I've heard stories about in-person collectors who Fred was not happy with when he was presented with Herman Munster photos to sign outside of Broadway playhouses after he just finished performing in serious plays there. He also had a whole series of children's books on homonyms that were a lot of fun - I remember reading "A Little Pigeon Toad" to my son.
Got a question for you all. Did Fred ever have a secretary sign his TTM requests? Or even respond TTM?
If he did, I think she would have signed just like this.
Certainly better than the first example...
I say yes!!
