This isn't authentic in my opinion.
The Story behind the picture and autograph and the age of the signature ink-(not to mention the actual exemplar of the signature) Shows me its real....Just think,.. if it were a forgery,...They only had one shot at getting it right....Nope, It"s Real !!!
The problem is they had one chance, and they got it wrong. Absolutely a fake.
That's Just my opinion....
Jack, who could come up with such an elaborate story along with an original Polaroid picture,...and think about holding that old "floppy" picture in your hand while signing it. I can't see someone coming up with all of that, and it not be true. Just take another look at the pen ink on the photo and you can tell its old and faded with time. They didn't fake autographs back then mainly because they didn't have the means to get other examples of Jim Morrison's signature.
P.S. Maybe it wasn't a Polaroid, (I just looked at it again) but regardless....
One more thing,...He doesn't seem to want to sell it. sometimes you have to look at every thing surrounding an autograph, along with the signature itself.
Anybody could come up with a story and make it sound believable. That's what forgers do. To me it's irrelevant how old the ink "looks" or how long someone might have let this sit on their window sill to have the sun make it "appear" aged or whatever they did for that matter. I look at the structure of the letters individually and the sig as a whole, and everything about this one especially spacing/slant is not even close in comparison to any authentic JDM signatures or how he typically signed. Once again, it's 100% a fake. I assure you...
Wow, you are really sticking to your guns on this one,...I surrender to you. But smart enough to stick it in the window to let the sun fade it? Jack, come on....
I merely mentioned that as "one possibility" to explain the ink. Who knows what was done to make it "appear" old. We shall just agree to disagree and you are entitled to your opinion. My opinion is that this sig along with the other one you say is real are both worth about the same as a glass hammer. I'm respectably not discussing either of the forgeries any further.
