I bought this from a reliable seller a while back. I have no doubts about the signature, but I just hope it's real ink. I'm not very familiar with fountain pink of this color (which I'm assuming it is). It's a cut from fairly thick page - smallish about 1 inch by 2 inches, cut by the seller to sell the signature on the reverse as well. The top edge of the page is gilded.

Does this ink look like what a vintage ink fountain pen signature should look like, or could it by any way be something printed?

It appears to perhaps be a stamp? Does it appear faded, or does it have the signs of a stamp or other facsimile? What does the other signature look like and in what color/with what appearance?

it does appear faded, and this signature was taken from the same album...

This is from the original listing for my Bing

Well, that's appears to be Swanson's signature as well. Are they the same placement? Same exact color and appearance? One of the beauties of fountain pen is that the nib often scratches into the paper - get a good loupe or glass and examine the surface of the paper and the ink. Click for full image:

I attach some large images of live fountain pen on different types of paper.

I don't really see any indentations anywhere, but the ink look slightly darker in the spots I have marked. I would think if it were a stamp it wouldn't have those variances.

You may very well be right. I am hesitant to call it live from these images in case I am wrong. If the presentation is exactly that of the Swanson and they have the same placement (hold to light) and neither have marks from the nib perhaps get better scans. Look for cross over in the appropriate places.

I can't compare it to the Swanson - I only own the Crosby.

Ah, sorry - I got the impression there was something on the reverse. I thought the image I prepared was much, much larger. Not sure why it is so small. I must be tired.

Facsimiles and stamps can have variations - where they are is often helpful in making the determination if live ink is present.

I'll try to get a larger scan tomorrow

Can you make a better opinion from this?

Yes. It appears to be faded fountain pen. With image augmentation crossover seems present in several places.

I should have looked more closely at the Swanson as it is more obvious there.
