Sometimes strange things happen - like a couple of days to me. My autograph collection is quite well known here in Finland and that makes people to send me their items and ask about their value.

I was contacted by a gentleman who has an outstanding collection of various deceased singers/musicians (Frank Sinatra, Bob Marley etc.) One of the most interesting items among them is a single signed by The Doors. The signatures were got by a famous Finnish autograph collector "Uncle Eric" who met the band in London in 1968. The gentleman has bought this single from Uncle Eric many years ago.

The story about Uncle Eric (1946-2004) meeting the band in London is true. Eric is also quite familiar to me as I've written a book about his life and his collection of thousands of in-person signatures some years ago. I even bought most of his collection in an auction here in 2005.

This single "Hello I Love You, Won't You Tell Me Your Name / Love Street" has been signed by all four members of the band with their front names: "Best wishes to Eric: Ray, Robby, John, Jim".

I'd be happy to hear your thoughts about this item. As far as I understand it seems to be a 100 % genuine one.

This appears to be authentic in my opinion. I think the inscription was done by Robby.

It looks authentic to me too. I believe it's the only signed 45 I've ever seen. Nice!

I wonder what might be the value for this and what would be the best place to sell it? Thanks.
