I don't know where this item or the image of the Reverse is, but such damage should definitely be reflected in the price (lower by a good % IMO). For me, I would not buy or sell such an item unless there was some serious upside such as rarity, some other quality - a low price is not it for me. If one only wants the LP cover signed and framed for low $ as a nice wall item - this might be just the thing.
Thank you both for your input!
Even with the damage to the back, though, isn't $130 significantly lower than what an authentic Def Leppard signed album in VG+ quality would go for?
I don't know this group well, a quick glance at closed results shows decent signed LP's going for 250-375 or so. I believe the low price is from condition - it is not an easy sale. Many place prime importance on condition (after authenticity of course).
I would estimate the reduction should be...40%?
Tommy, can you give the item # on ebay or a link to the Reverse images?
Ah. I was thinking the tape would be limited to the edges - I am seeing 2 strips running across the middle. That is why $130 I believe. If the sigs are indeed good and you only wish to frame it and enjoy it this might be a good deal for you.
I also see blue spots not on the Reverse art now that I am looking at another LP - I don't what they are but they are also bringing the price to $130. This is a problem peice to a collector.
I just went back on the listing and it appears that someone purchased it, so this made my decision even easier!
Probably better that way - pay a little more for quality.
You are very welcome. Yes, quality is always worth a bit more. Always something new around the corner - :)
Well, I can assure you, it wasn't me! ;)
It sold for $115 including shipping. I should mention authenticity was assumed - I was just helping with the condition etc.
