Hi there,

I stumbled upon a guy who's offering his whole collection of Pink Floyd related Items.

Some LPs also come with certification but it fells a bit "too good to be true".

At least the autographs seem to match the different periods at first glance.

Let's start with "Wish you were here" and "The Wall". What do you think?

Both fake IMO

No x2

Thank you. Could you please explain what makes you so sure about it? So I know what to watch out for.

These signatures look nothing like authentic signatures.

How much are they? That should also give you a pretty good indication.

They‘re between 600 and 900 each for bidding start.

So as reference, a fully authentic signed Pink Floyd album would start at around $5K and up.

Just compare known legit examples and you will see the difference. It is quit easy with this pieces.

Price can be indication but not always. I recently bought a fully signed vintage Black Sabbath LP for 300 US$ a legit Red Hot Chili Peppers CD Booklet for 50 and a Green Day for 30. So if you have a unknowledged Seller you can find great deals but they are rare.

Thank you, the problem for me is to figure out which examples are actually legit. What's a good base for comparison? There are like "printed" signatures, which are perfectly designed on signature gear for example, but of course an autograph which is done on the fly might never look like this, i guess.

By the way: What's the deal with certification? Can you just not rely on them?

Next one. :)

Nope. Here’s an authentic one on eBay as reference

So those "Certificates" mean like nothing, right?
