It has taken a couple of weeks but I am finally starting to get some responses to my inquiries concerning the authenticity of my autographs. I am still waiting for a response from AAFES, but I did get a response from At Auction. It is a hoot. Here is their response:
Mr. Block,
I appreciate your concern. We stand behind our product with a 100% Money Back Guarantee. The pieces that we have up for sale have been sent to many different authenticators and have been verified as authentic time and time again. Ebay has a deal in place with a couple of authenticators to exclusively sell their goods. However, our pieces have been verified by AAU, Global, TTA, STAT and Morales just to name a few. AAU for example is not an “Allowed” authenticator on Ebay, however The History Channel and Pawn Stars do not seem to doubt their expert opinion. The Autograph Authentication business, unfortunately is a business. And authenticators unfortunately can allow their business needs get in the way of good forensic work. Because these Authentication Services do occasionally disagree on the authentication of pieces, we offer our customers a chance to return their pieces within 30 Days with no questions asked for a full refund.
As far as the values, we base our “Compare At” price on what similar pieces can be found selling at online or in retail shops throughout the country. As with most collectibles, the “Value” of a piece is subjective. Much like Baseball Cards or Comic Books, you can find price guides that will list the “value” of an item at a very different price than what the piece can actually be sold for. I am truly sorry that you have had a bad experience, and will be glad to refund your money, and even pay for return shipping. Our customer service representatives will be happy to help you return the pieces you bought and make sure that you are refunded every $ spent.

He should have said...Hi My name is Andy Fields and I am a recovering idiotaholic. I know all the autographs on our site are fake and bogus as can be., but You can "compare" the junk we have at 200 times the value of an authentic autograph so we can make collectors laugh in disgust.
Our name Always Fake At Auction says it all. Our pieces of S*** have been verified by AAU, Global, TTA, STAT and Moral Less just to name a few known crooks and complete Nincompoops.
I do think it is sporting of them to offer a 30 day Money Back Guarantee, but let me guess...You are over the 30 day time period, so you are stuck with the putrid fakes. "Compare @ an Ice pick in the Eye"
Too bad, so sad, Love, Andy
Seriously though....RUN, Don't Walk....like rabbit with thorn in paw to get a full refund ASAP. Good luck, Fudd
Actually, this guy is smart.
If indeed this company is selling fakes (and that's a reasonable inference given the use of a certain "faux-rensic" examiner), this is how you avoid legal problems.
Give refunds to complainers.
There will always be other purchasers.
And right now, the potential legal problems that likely are avoided include the possibility of being drawn into a criminal probe.
