I have one real one that is nice with light toning, but not nearly as nice as this one.  I’m not going to bid on this one, although I’d love to have it.  Bidding is about to end as I write this in about 30 minutes.  Good luck.  I bet you could get it for around $400 which would be a pretty good buy on this one.  See how it goes.

This sold for only $318.  If this had PSA or JSA behind it, on a Buy It Now would have gone for at least $500, imo.  That was a steal at $318.  You can’t find a nicer Mantle autograph.  That’s either a 9.5 or a 10.  In my research, most of the time, a seller does not get full value using auction format on eBay.

I think so to, I had a buddy sell it for me as I dont really sell, and cant be bothered selling or dealing with setting up paypal. Had it signed myself and the buyer is getting a pic (not exact) of him signing the ball though he didnt mention it.

That’s a beautiful ball, Ian.  I’m not sure how you get MUCH nicer than that one.  Well you saved about $75 on authentication plus insured shipping to and from...so around $100 really.  It was a great deal for the buyer, but with your TPA savings, you ended up getting reasonable money, I’d say.

Thanks, yes it just seems silly and not worth it to pay somebody 100 bucks to tell me something I had signed is real. I hope a collector bought it and not a flipper. Many resellers, grab authentic balls as cheap as they can get and have a buddy slap a sticker on them to jack up the price.
