I’ve gone back to him about this, I am disappointed about this.

How about this Mercury? (I had this for a while from a different seller?)

Sorry to say, but that's also not genuine. Odd that is seems to have a similar end on the Y as these other fakes. Maybe not exactly the same, but that's not a common thing to see in freddie fakes.

Well, hold on a sec. Comparing them more, it's beginning to look like they may have actually all came from the same hand as the one you're saying you bought from a different seller. Notice the outward curve to the M and the same rounded long Y on all 3. This is odd.

I've seen some genuine Freddies in the past with a rushed or atypical outward curve to the M but all these items also sport the false Y. Not to mention, they're all very poor attempts at Freddie in general. To all have the curved M and the rounded Y? I think the forger may have attempted a late 70s freddie with the top example here and moved on to the late 80s. Last I saw his work, he was asking 3K USD for it. He better look out. I may not be able to stop him from selling, but you scam someone out of 3 grand, and they're likely to follow up with whatever legal action they can.

Definately not from the same seller. The first buys his stuff from auctions, splits and resells. This guy I have bought over a hundred items from and the ones I have put forward ( about 40)  have all past external authenticity.

Coukd this be from a similar time frame in the uk or secretarial?

I’m trying to understand the analysis. I am an on the street collector. I started collecting about 5 years after Freddie’s death so never saw him. I have got some people 20 or 30 times. Signatures are rarely the same each time. Angle of the pen, time of pen, angle of the item, are they in a rush drunk etc? These guys rarely sat down and signed.

Actually, Queen weren't one of those bands that rarely sat down to sign. They had their fair share of signing sessions both public and private for promo. I also know a number of people who caught the boys on the street, and yes they can be sloppy but genuine items always have genuine characteristics. Look for example at the very obvious attempt to trace or forge from the genuine rushed item you posted.

As I said, the curve alone in the M is not enough to say its fake. But to have the Curve in the M and the false Y seen in all the other fakes? No. Look at these two. The bottom is genuine (ugly but rushed and atypical) and the other is a blatant attempt to forge from it, sporting the same curved M and Y seen in the other fakes. And the forger even tried to add th space between the c and the u as in the genuine example. The problem is, it sports absolutely no genuine chatacterics and does however match the other fakes we've seen on this thread.

They are absolutely (without a doubt) poor fakes and to me, all look to also be from the same hand. I've seen many fakes for queen. I've been studying, buying and selling only queen for 40 years. I can tell you it's nearly impossible to see 2 of the exact same fake characteristics in any group of items without them coming from the same forger. It's also not a secretarial. Here's an exmaple of a secretarial. The items you posted were likely signed in recent years. I doubt Freddie was alive when these were signed. I see Queen items daily and it wasn't until the last year or so that this forgers work has been seen. Maybe 2 years.

Looks like there’s a possibility, the items have made there way to the uk and are being resold? Ie purchased from the states then flipped unaware? I’ll be able to get my money back on the silver ones but not the pen one unfortunately

I guess I'm just wondering how you came across the the item sold by another seller and were offered the other 2 fakes from the same forger and they're all in the UK? Are you sure they're not from the same seller? Just seems like a very slim chance of that being possible. Certainly not impossible but slim. I mean, I've seen one forgers work get sold and resold before, but they're all bought and sent around the world, never all sent to only one country with multiple buyers. I've also never seen those other fakes online before. The chance of the coming from another country are slim as I've never even seen them before now and suddenly all this forgers work is showing up in the UK only. As I said, I see Queen items sold both on Ebay and thru auction houses daily. I'm sure I would have seen them somehwere before had they come from America or any other country. The forgers work comes from the UK. Its possible he/she sells thru multiple accounts and got you that way. If the seller who offered you the 2 other items (both signed in the same silver marker as the fake signed ADATR album) is a standup guy and has a good rep, I'd assume that was the case- he somehow got dooped into buying 2 of the same fakes from the same forger...using the same marker. I suppose they could have told him they were done at the same time.

Ok. I have to step away from my phone for a while to get ready so please give me a little time to view those. We're enjoying a weekend away and it's coming to an end today so we're trying to get up early and get some of the last few hours of fun out of it while we can. Best

At least you'll be able to get your money back for some. Would you mind sharing the seller's account name please? Having a fake or two doesnt mean much but I would like to see if he has any other queen items in the future. If he has a good rep, it's always good to make contacts for future purchases.
