Hi Everyone...

Does anyone have any information on how the signed Isolar cards were distributed in the Black Tie/White Noise release?

Were they included in records, cd's, cassettes? How many were given out ? Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

The cards were signed in just a few sittings and exhibit extreme variation which is not unusual for him. I think 2 different pens were used. They are 3.5" x 5" IIRC and have a linen finish. The majority were preserved by an industry executive and sold after his death by a well known source - first at $149, then $199, then $249 and now I believe $385. I had about 10 and saw about 75. The fuller examples contain two "apostrophes" - one for the "i" and one by the date. The best IMO are those in the darker pen and the signature does not touch "WITH COMPLIMENTS".

Thanks Eric, I found these examples online

The better examples usually contain the most strokes IMO. They also frame/display extraordinarily well - this was one of my favorites:
