NIRVANA DRUMHEAD by all 3..is this the real deal????

The story on this one is sketchy...claims to have been 'concert used" it certainly looks USED....but it could have been just some old used Drumhead someone got signed..IF the signatures are even real. I did not see this one signed.

Can someone check the KURT, dave Grohl (which from my in person examples from Grohl this- appears authentic to me) nad the third member--Krist... but for some reason..he signed this with a "C" iot looks like not a K for Krist...it looks like Christ...??? SO I have questions on its authnetiity...i have no other info...signed around 1992

Hi Mike, I just included a scan of the letter supposably written by Kurt to MTV which he never sent and was sold for over $12,000. Does this letter look like anything else you have seen by Kurt ?

Hi Mike, you are not going to believe it but I have that magazine !!!!

I got it in the late 90's from Gotta Have It in New York .

I'm also glad you think the letter is real because I have a draft copy of it which he had given to Courtney Love to check out before writing the one I posted. I don't have a digital

camera and I don't have a scan of it but it's the real deal I'm sure .

Yeah, it is signed in blue and I had it framed.

Krist wrote on top in big letters and Dave wrote David on the left side. Kurt wrote "the editor of this rag is a slimy c--- sucking son of a bitch , Kurdt"

is there a reason he would send them a letter like this > untyped? unprofessional? I mean..was he trying to be like Bob Dylan scribbling every song on a napkin or scrap of paper lol...

Hi Mike, thanks for the scans they're great !!! At least you still have the Spin which is really cool. Too bad you got rid of the guitar neck.

I hate to tell you what I paid for the magazine. The owner said he gave me a "break" since I gave him a Frank Sinatra and Ronald Reagan I got in person.(wish I hadn't)

It was between 2,500 and 3,000 when he was asking 5,000. Did I get taken or was that fair ? I'm not sure but I do love it .

I still think my cd might be good since it was signed for a friend and worker for the band. Kurt made more of an effort for him I think. The bottom reads "bleeding from within" which sounds like something only Kurt would think of.

No, I didn't get it on an auction site. Gotta Have It has a store in New York City and I got it from there. I had been looking for Nirvana stuff and was lucky to find it then. It was not advertised.

I think that is debateable..paul Simon actually used to go to work every day i nthew brill building to write his songs..at a desk with a typewriter. A lot of others at least sprung 2.00 for a notebook.....Dylan is pretty much the most notoriosu for scribbling on a napkin or worse. Who else do you know for sure scribbled on reciepts, napkins and such regularly....McCartney?> I think not. U-2, Please...Bono scribble on a match book cover..no way.

Agreed David (& Bobby). Furthermore, this is a silly and uninformed discussion that should be reserved to fan sites of these individual bands/musicians. Again, generalized statements with no truth in reality should not be spoken as definitive gospel. "Every" songwriter does not definitively write the initial drafts of their songs on scraps of paper. If you have ever seen Pennebaker's "Don't Look Back" you will see Dylan himself contemplating lyrics several times on his typewriter - most notably his portable Royal Safari. "Every" musician has a different method that probably changes every time they have an idea for a song. They do not all get together and decide how they should go about recording and commiting their initial ideas to a certain medium.
