Signed Complete Works, should it be working better for me?

A warm hello to you all on my first post here,

I have been a Queen fan since 1972 and have owned the Complete Works from new and never considered selling it. It has been tricky for me to put a true worth on it and I have had some offers which have just seemed too low.

So I thought I would reach out here and perhaps tap into your collective wisdom.

I bought the box in Dec 1985, it's the lid numbered version. 4 months later I was lucky enough to win the fully signed "Complete Vision" sleeve XIV from the box in a competition at the 1st Official Fan Club convention in Great Yarmouth, UK. Short of a few outings to show friends and family, it has never seen the light of day, the vinyl is unplayed.

I welcome comments on the authenticity although I have never doubted it because of how I acquired it.

The reason for my post is the offers I have had seem to fly in the face of current values listed on here by the guru known as "Innuendo" (take a bow). So my questions are......What is a realistic honest price? and more to the point, where would you suggest I look to sell it? I am hoping to hook up with someone who will appreciate it as I have rather than see it as a commodity. Is now a sensible time to sell it?

I've looked at ebay and a few auction sites and the prices are all over the place. This item usually sells with the box of vinyl as I'm sure you will know. Some I have seen are tatty compared to mine, especially the condition of the box itself.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and I welcome and appreciate any feedback.

Many thanks Innuendo, you must be a night owl!

I will take your considered opinion and run with it. Also, although not strictly autographed (does hand numbered count?) I have a couple of these from the 1995 Convention. I was thinking of selling them as a pair. Any views?

I am tonight, thanks to my back acting up again. Ha, the joys of being ancient! I don't collect vinyl myself, but I asked a friend for you. Apparently these singles go for £200 "easily", so I'm thinking 250-275ish. That's individually, of course.

All the best

Ok, thanks very much.

I had the pleasure of your neck of the world 20 or so years back. Had friends in Bellevue and Edmonds, now lost touch unfortunately. I washed down some beer with them at the Pike Place Brewery. Hope your back improves…..

For those that have an interest, this item now offered for sale on this site. I hope someone will find it a loving home!
