Greetings and happy new year!
This is a signed first edition of Generation Of Swine currently on auction via eBay.
What struck me as being slightly peculiar about this item is how the line from the H, cuts through the S and the T of Thompson's abbreviated autograph. Usually, (in examples i've witnessed), the line curves underneath.
Would be very interested to hear any opinions from those familiar with Hunter S Thompson.

There are still a few days remaining before this item ends on the eBay auction.
Any thoughts?
Your concern is definitely a concern
And usually that horizontal line is more curved
The S seems off
Its a strange example and might be worth the gamble if it stays cheap. But then again if it's cheap then that's a red flag too.
I'm definitely kicking myself for not getting an older full signature.as the prices are soaring now
I'm going to swing towards forgery based on the H
The H doesn't usually drop so low before going into the big loop
There's too many atypical traits here and I would avoid it unless a HST expert says different
I think you're right, Goodcat. The more i look at it the whole thing seems off.
As previously mentioned, my first concern was that trademark line. It seems throughtout the years, whatever Hunter's condition during signing, whether it be his full or abbreviated autograph, that line always rides nicely below.
Appreciate your comments, Goodcat - thanks.
you are most welcome Judge
I agree that horizontal line isn't placed as per usual
Good luck in finding a nice HST
Thanks - although i think i already own two authentic pieces - one of which you kindly gave opinions on.
However, he's one of my favourite authors and i'm always on the lookout for more.
Cheers!
