It so difficult gauging the value of Nirvana signed items they vary in auction prices
Smells Like Teen Spirit looks like it will pass $20,000. Between the piece and the provenance, I think it's worth every penny of that.
The In Utero has a killer Kurt on the booklet front, and another Kurt on the CD case on the back. The one on the case might bring $4,000-$5,000 on it's own, since it would be big and flexible signature for a display. Looks like that might hit $10,000 OTD.
So the Smells like teen spirit is on a vinyl cover? I was thinking about selling my Slts but I'm having trouble pricing it.
Do you think coa's make a difference with these graphs or both provenance and a coa?
The Brennan provenance is a BIG factor the Nirvana autographs. More than most other names because they're so hard to authenticate and controversial.
Two of the signed In Utero LPs that authenticity was vehemently argued over here sold for $11,000 and change at Iconic. The Teen Spirit is easily worth twice those.
I don't disagree !
These items are very difficult to authenticate and it is slightly on a who had it signed bases which is completely fine if the tpa's know you. Rr said they'd take my Nevermind signed CD on consignment but I never ended up consigning it because I purchased an item from rr that was held in customs for y months but eventually was resolved thankfully. I could tell what the provenance is on mine because they have already sold a couple by the same person who had mine signed, so the issue is if your not John b, you seem to be up s*** creek.
John's one of the biggest names, but there are other known reliable names, too. Some who are members here.
Please try not to get me wrong Steve with all respect yes I'm an a****** but this is where the industry falls short because as far as I'm concerned why is my nirvana graph any less authentic to John's nirvana
