I'm waiting for a reply. I'll let you know what happens

Just a heads up, PSA did not pass my Lil Wayne cd covers.

I am contacting my credit card company later today for a full refund.

Thanks Butters for the warning. I was guessing these wouldn't pass TPA. Even though someone posted a PSA item with a similar signature, I figured that was an anomaly. These don't match ones I know to be genuine at all.

I was thinking about sending one off to BAS just to see what happens, but I don't think I'll waste the time/money. Plus, I'm not comfortable selling stuff that I question - even if a TPA approves it, so even if it did pass I'd be stuck with it.

Man, Universal's return policy sucks. I received one bent up "booklet" with my two CD's. So, I emailed Universal about the damaged one, and that I was missing one. They told me to return it for a refund. So I did. Well they finally refunded me (it's been there for more than a week), and they took off the standard $3.50 per digital album. So now I'm out $7 and have nothing to show for it.

I understand the whole point of these signed promotions is to boost album sales and that's why they bundle everything with digital copies, but it makes it a royal P.I.T.A. when there's a problem.

I have put a lot of time and research into these Lil Wayne autographs and I feel that they are definitely authentic.  When you study Wayne's signature over his whole career you'll notice that it varies A LOT.  It can go from a barely legible scribble to a letter-by-letter spelling.  We have to take into consideration that this was an at-home signing for him.  He may have been watching a movie and just comfortably signing his name on each booklet.  Most Lil Wayne autos for sale today have been street signatures he scribbled when he left from a concert.  This provides the rushed, scribbled "Wayne" look that we often see on eBay.  I have found some 100% authentic Wayne signatures that look quite similar to the ones we've seen on the booklets.  One is a robe he signed for a giveaway about a month ago.  He posted a video of him signing it on his instagram.  This is the link https://www.instagram.com/p/CAYFaoRgSvc/?igshid=8o9l3cbzd86t.  I also included an image of this signed robe compared to a signed funeral booklet.   When you compare this auto to our funeral CD's, they look much more similar than if you were to compare it to a scribble signature of his.  In addition, about 2 years ago, Lil Wayne signed two CD’s for the Coach of the San Francisco 49ers and his son, Carter.  The coach named his son after Wayne’s “Tha Carter III” album and Weezy was thrilled.  I included an image of the autograph below.  The autograph is written letter-by-letter just like our Funeral CD’s and this goes to show how his signature varies based on where he’s signing from.  Finally, I included a signed hat that was passed by JSA in 2014.  This signature looks the same as our funeral CD’s, and goes to show that Wayne even signed like this 6 years ago. Wayne has always been a good signer for his fans.  He’s held events and signs for collectors in the streets.  The street signatures are the messy ones that most people mistake for being the only authentic ones.  When you take the proven examples I’ve shown and compare them to the scribble autographs common on eBay, they’ll look totally different.   Lil Wayne’s signature varies a lot when he signs and they never look the same.  We have to remember that this was an at-home signing, and 2 of my examples were also guaranteed at-home signings.  I truly feel that these booklets were signed by Lil Wayne based on all of the above facts.

I do agree that he definitely signed some if not all of them, but it looks like there were two different versions. The ones posted on page 2 look different than the others posted by myself and others, so I am wondering if he had some help with these. The ones posted on page 2 may have also been some kind of mock up or flat out forgeries, as those pics were taken from an ebay listing.

Yeah those booklets on page 2 could have been forged, but I honestly think it just has to do with the variation in his signature.  Those could have been signed at the very beginning or the very end of the signing period.  This might result in the style changing slightly as he does the motion over and over again.  He's not known to keep a consistent signature.

I agree that he does seem to have a lot of variation on his signature, but I'm still completely unconvinced.

My main point of reference was the 4 autographs he did for Kyle Shanahan, because I don't like referencing TPA examples for modern signatures. I don't even know where my two copies are right now to look at, but I wasn't happy with the "AY" part (Y completely distinct from the A seems wrong), and the Y going straight into the E. From the few surely authentic examples I looked at, there's usually a little hump going into the E which I assume is the N.

Also, the Framehouse place/Universal was annoying to deal with. My order included 2 CDs but only one booklet (damaged) - so they told me to mail everything back for an exchange. I did, then didn't hear anything for weeks, email them, and they issue a refund instead (excl. $7 for digital).

In many I've looked at, the "A" is separated from a connected "YE".  I think what's throwing a lot of people off is the line in the "A".  Most scribbled ones have a capital "A" without the line.  But in "at-home" signings, he seems to use the "A" with a line more frequently (as we see with the Kyle Shanahan signature).  He also rarely uses the "N" for his signatures (Even though there is a rare occurrence in the Kyle Shanahan autograph).  I wouldn't worry about the booklets not having an "N" because it's honestly not very common for his autograph.

I have no idea, I'm far from knowledgeable about Lil Wayne's signature. I'm only going off of 5 (now 6 including the video you linked to) which is an extremely small sample size.

I just know that in those I was referencing, the left arm of the Y comes off the A, and in 5 of the 6 examples (the robe, a shirt he signed for his tattoo artist, and 3 of the Shanahans'), the line going into the E is mostly horizontal, and often has a tiny bump before it (the "N" I mentioned). The Shanahan CD you posted has a particularly tall N, but even the two posters he also signed for them, and the robe you linked have an N. On the two posters it's just barely a bump, but still there.

Yeah I think the "N" is just a hit or miss situation with his autos.  I just went on eBay and found one that has a small "N" matching the "N" on the robe from the video I linked. I've studied LOTS of known authentic Lil Wayne autographs in these past few months , and very few have the "N" that pops up here and there.  You can even find it on some of the Funeral booklets, but most stick with the known trend of not having it.  This is just an example of the constant variation in his autograph that confuses authenticators.
