Good morning,

First of all, thank you so much for letting me being part of Autograph live. I'm interested in a Montgomery Clift's autograph but before buying it and taking into account that I'm not experienced at all, I would need some help. Maybe you can tell me if it's his right signature or not.

Thank you so much for your help in advance,

Bruno.

Bruno, The seller of the 2nd Clift you posted has others for sale. They have been around for a while. Before you buy,  get a quick opinion from a reputable 3rd party authenticator. From what I have heard they have a good reputation. Check out the guarantees on their site. Its your hard earned money, They also talk about a best offer.

Hi David! Thank you so much for your answer. Much appreciated. Yes, they look very professional as you said (history for sale). As I said to Etienne, the autograph will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity valid for 10 years from the date of purchase and also, within the 10 years COA period, the document is guaranteed to pass PSA/DNA or JSA authentication or they would refund the full purchase price. But I trust you 100%. You were really kind.

Hi Bruno-

I have purchased from them before and have good experiences. David is right on in suggesting negotiating the price if you decide on it. You can make an offer and then they may accept or make a counter offer back to you.

Also, if you would like to get a better look, there is a lady who works there named Samantha who is very nice. She has always been willing to pull the item I was interested in and take more scans of it to email to me. I've found that really helpful as the scans she has sent me are usually more focused and hi-def.

Good to know that as well. So, maybe I will ask them for some scans before as you said. Just in case, cause I don't know exactly if it has other kind of marks, etc. You're a star. Many thanks Etienne.

Bruno, You have to remember the top 3rd party authenticators have more exemplars in their reference library than I do. Before you buy, look at their other Clift's for sale from History, maybe there is one you would like better, If you want to buy ….from anyone, get a quick opinion from one of the top authenticators…..remember you can make a best offer to them. In my thinking I would take my time and not to rush to buy until you are confident in your own ability to pick out a real one on your own….Then still get a quick opinion, BEFORE you buy. Again, my humble opinion.

Yes, there's no rush :) I'll take a look at their other Clift's on History for sale. I don't wanna buy from anyone, cause then, we can regret. I won't forget what you said about the offer neither. Good tip. I'm really thankful to all of you for your advices.
