It's a bit disconcerting that these should be on his website then isn't it?

Ask Roger. Don't tell him who is selling it, though.

I agree. You should never buy an autograph unless there's a high degree of confidence in its authenticity.

These MJ autographs are subjective and are difficult to authenticate with a high degree of certainty.

To throw something else into the mix..the website says it was signed in Munich in 1988...???? This could be a typo but if it isn't it's worrying as I'd say this is definitely a later style

The first one is definitely real - I collected MJ myself in Munich during the BAD tour and this matches 1:1 how he signed back then. Flow is well, black Edding marker that is common in Germany and looks like an 80s photo, not a recent print.

Could you upload a sample of your '88

Will do, yet i am currently travelling...will take a while yet I will remember.

Thanks

Something doesn't add up here..this style is often seen in the 2000s..I've never heard of this signature in the 80s but of course I could be wrong...

Like Michael requested, could you post your 88 signature please MG? Thanks

Yes, will do - he signed a ton in Munich back then, collectors handed dozens of photos into his bus a the Munich Hilton in 1988 and the one above is very typical for the stacks he signed until the bus hit a red light - note that it is on a 5x7 picture, this is what the German collectors used as it cost an arm and leg to develop larger sizes back then — as you can see on Markus’ site, it is also a picture that was rephotographed from a magazine... there was no access to official photos in Germany back then, and obviously no downloads of pics from the web....so, in short everything consistent, no need to worry
