This is a very rare autograph and very rare picture content. I've been offered a downpayment/starting bid at $12,000..but I fear it going to auction and not getting enough views because it has the potential to be extremely valuable.

This was found in my father's very large memorabilia Collection. And George is not a family name, so its a wonder who George is. Possibly from the crew of a video shoot, George Watters, or possibly even George Takei

Its is a fujifilm print from the reel.

It is a very real and very wonderful piece.

Please,  anyone with any insight into the value or where to go with this autograph would be helpful

Hi Edward,

This photograph/negative is taken from Bruce Lee's last completed movie released just after his death in July 1973.

Apart from one other picture there are no known examples of his signing any pictures or negatives from 'Enter the Dragon'. These were all released after his death.

In my opinion yours is a fake. I don't like the way Lee is signed. Nor do I like the way the Chinese character is written.

Fellow member @Katothemaster is very good and helpful with Bruce lee memorabilia etc. Hopefully he will sign in with his opinion etc.

Auction houses like juliens, Nate Sanders, Paul Fraser and autographsale.net are just a few you can also ask.

There are a lot of so-called Bruce Lee signed pictures from ETD. All are fake bar one!

This is the one that sold a few years ago for about 20k. It's the only known example from ETD. Taken by the son of the property owner at the time.

Good afternoon Mark

Thank you soo much for the insight and info.

This is certainly a tough one I know. I do have a couple pointers that has led me this far to believe it's possibly the real deal.

I attached a photo of the rear code of the photograph.

This came from a large and very real collection that was my fathers(including many real and awesome autographs such as a few JFk and many many high end sports figures).he has passed unfortunately, so I can't ask him about it..but its been hiding since atleast the late 80's I would assume.

The auto. Has a couple extra ink marks around the signature, I feel if it were a counterfeit that its not a good one haha

And why to George if it was fake also. As far as I know about autos. That would be a silly idea for a counterfeit autograph.

I know Bruce's auto can vary slightly, and I do agree the dragon is a little off, but I could possibly say the same for the attached photo, I was reading about that photo last night, it is such great content.

Ned Sanders is who I did contact already. They offered the $12000 start bid. The only real insight I got from the emails with them was that it should fetch above 30k based on recent auctions. However this is a bit more complicated than just an autograph and I fear if it is real that it won't see the light it actually deserves.

I really do appreciate any insight towards finding the truth behind this autograph

Thanks for your knowledge and time

Sincerely

Ed

Hi Edward,

Wow interesting that the said auction house accepted your photo.

www.autographsale.net owned by Greg is a very good appraiser of bruce lee memorabilia. You could ask him for his opinion.

Getting back to your potential picture. If Nate wants to auction or. Then go for it. The higher end of the estimate given by them is in my opinion the current market value for a genuine signed photograph. The one I posted was sold for I believe about 20k plus buyer's premium. So close to 25k. Remember that you have to pay a commission etc.

I am not 100% sure but you could maybe get further information from a photographer/orher. The printed information on the reverse may offer some further clues as to when it was actually printed.

Regards,

Mark

Dear Mark,

Thank you again for all the help.

I will certainly look into contacting Greg.

And I definitely am interested in tracking down the info on the photo.

So In your humble opinion you do believe that Ned Sanders would be a smart way to go if I don't get too much further info on the autograph?their offering 5% auction fees.

Hi Edward,

I moved your post to Bruce Lee autographs.

Hey Steve,

Thanks a lot.

I'm not super tech savvy to say the least haha

Thanks again

Ed

NP. This site's a bit confusing too.

Hi Edward,

Nate Sanders along with Paul Fraser are very good auction houses. Both have international buyers etc. They obtain for the most part high prices etc. I would personally have no hesitation in using either of these two.

Regards,

Mark

Dear Mark,

Ok awesome, thats good news.

I'm obviously quite hesitant on what move to make. It seems I will probably go for Sanders if I don't get much further into debunking it.

I greatly appreciate the insight

Sincerely

Ed

Katothemaster will probably show up here today to comment on your piece. If he doesn't see it by tomorrow AM, LMK and I'll drop him a line.

Oh fantastic, I hope he replies on it.

Thank you sir

Greig mcarthur from autograph sales.net knows his Bruce Lee..top guy and very knowledgeable on Bruce
