Hi guys, happy to connect.

I would like to know what more experienced hobby members think of this signature.

Thank you in advance

In my humble opinion, looks in the ballpark to the secretarial top left signature page 31 of Charles Hamiltons "the robot that helped to make a president"…..There should be others on this site who have studied President Kennedy, more than I.

Not sure, but I'm leaning towards authentic

Michael chris, This is interesting….who's book/study did you reference? I like the "J" in John on your 1947 exemplar. I did notice the "y" drops off as does my 1952. Brian's 1947 has a straight line signature with no drop off. Michael, for Brians sake, I hope you are correct.

Secretarial!

JFK is an incredibly difficult signature.  Apparently he used secretaries early on and then added autopens when they became available.

Thank you all for the reply. Unfortunately, the consensus for this seems to be around 50/50 from the people I have asked

Hi Brian,

This is not by the hand of JFK. It's a secretarial signed item.

Here for you to compare is a genuine signature sold by Nate Sanders.

When was this signed. His signature did change. I'm still on the fence.

I think this needs a bit more investigation and research. It's not an easy one. It's not an easy yes or no. It's worth researching rather than dismissing it.

The best person to ask would be Andreas Wiemer if you can get hold of him.

Here are some secretarials from around this time

#181 fits the bill. Note the 'k' and the style and manner of 'Kennedy'. Very similar. Very secretarial.

JFK is not an easy one. I suggest more research is required. It may be secretarial, but, personally, I would do extensive research, especially around this time (1947)
