does anyone else want to comment on these MJ signatures being offered in Autograph World's current auction? Has anyone purchased other Jacko signatures from them that look like this? Thanks...D

I think AW has the best of intentions, good expertise and a good network of in-person collectors--they used to have some of the best, but I don't know how things have changed since I paid attention to IP collectors a few years ago.

They know contemporary entertainment up and down, but you may be right, that they're not as strong in music. I do know that they guarantee everything they sell, so if you and others who know music have concerns, call them or send an email. I would be shocked if they sold anything they thought was questionable intentionally.

No doubt, I agree. I am sure their intentions are good, unlike a lot of cos that are out there knowingly selling bad material - we all know their names. That is the fundamental difference in black and white hats correct? BUT like I said, they absolutely should not be dealing in the music department. I know a select amount of hollywood also - very well, from the years of doing it in person and I don't see any problems whatsoever on that front with AW - all look grade A 100% good to go-authentic. However, music ain't hollywood.
These Michael Jackson "signatures" are all very very poor attempts. I am surprised they offered these.
You may not be surprised however that the current bid is less than $300 each on both MJ items currently running. Seems a little high to me, considering well....., you catch my drift, don't you James? D
If I remember right when the Charlton Heston news broke on this site, Autograph World had 2 on eBay and let them finish 3 days later.  They didn't seem to care.
I heard they were one of the first to recognize them and recall what they sold...or something to that effect.
The Bono looks a bit funky, but otherwise I think the U2 album looks ok.  Sucks that they all signed in the black, but it's easier to see with the zoom feature.

Richard the U2 album is atrocious and is just as bad as the MJs in it's own way. The guy got close on the Edge, but every single other signature is a very bad attempt. This isn't what I base my decision on (that is based on the signatures themselves and nothing else), but do you know how rare copies of The Joshua Tree are to find signed by all 4 members? You may see one a year come up at auction if you are lucky and they are going to bring at the very least 2 grand U.S. Though Bono rushes a LOT of his signatures now, there are certain characteristics that show a real one from a bad one. This Bono sig has ZERO characteristics of a real one. Bono is the easiest of all of the members to obtain and is VERY good about signing autographs - that is why you see so many items on the market signed by ONLY Bono. Nobody can get the other guys now.

This guy is an idiot with his asking price, but here is a nice piece on ebay. Too bad it is also signed by Paul McGuinness and it ruines it...I suppose you could get Lanois to sign the actual piece rather than the frame and somehow try to find Brian Eno to sign it and it would be complete then, but anyway. This is what real rock stars autographs look like.....

For me Darren the Adam Clayton is the red flag.  I would stay far away from this album.  I can't see the scan very well but could the Ringo Starr be iffy too?  It may just be the skip in the "R" that bothers me.

i thought so myself at first look, but the Ringo looks good. Do not see any problems with it. The Bruce is not however.

You're right about Clayton. People think they can just get away with a bunch of loops to make an Adam Clayton look right, but to have such a loopy sig he is pretty consistent.

I'm with you on the Springsteen.

Also if you believe IsItReal.com (and I DO!) it seems that Autograph World has a bunch of Debbie Reynolds secretarial in this auction and a TON in past auctions.
