Glen, In my humble opinion I would pass on this one.

I think I'm with you on that. Thanks a lot! The search continues...

GB, Save 3rd party authenticated Weavers that have SOLD in your exemplar library for future comparison. You need to do the homework. Weaver is not easy in her later autographs.

Thanks! I had no idea so many forgeries were out there.

GB, Wasting your money is on the net is easy. Studying the autographs you want to collect, takes time…..what is the old school saying…….You need to spend 10,000 hours of study to be good at your trade……I am a 40+ year collector of autographs…..Weaver is not easy unless you collected her in person.

I don't buy much on ebay; 90% of my collection is from Gary Brucato. He takes the guesswork out of it. I was just wondering if anything is real on there, and would love to find Sigourney.

The Upper Deck Alien/Aliens sets might be an option, but Weaver's auto card (or the dual appearances i.e. with Lance Henriksen) were very limited - every 150-200 packs, on the low end. If I had a bit more disposable income, I'd probably drop a grand on a case of 10 and see if I could hit one there.

For reference (not mine):

Thanks very much!

Any opinions on this one, guys? The seller has a Beckett # he's sending me Monday morning.

Unless he's giving you photo proof of it getting signed (or there's some solid documentation), I'd err on the side of caution, particularly if it's $1k-plus, but that's just me.

Thanks, that's good advice!

I like many of their autographs. I have bought from them.
