I have just come across this post. I actually bought this guitar in the Dallas auction it was listed in last November and had it shipped to UK.  Agree it is and was hard to find an authentic signed Eagles guitar, especially on a black Takamine.

Yes it was a band issued one and it came with documents stating that it was part of a set signed for a charity event attended and connected to the group.  
It surprises and annoys me to see so many Eagles fake signatures out there.  Some signed guitars are so bad and obviously fake.  
I used a lot of help and guidance from this website to ensure what to look out for and check before buying.

I have one of these guitars. If you go to my photos there is a picture of it. They were sold through The Eagles website. They were sold in a beige and black color. The money was to support Don Henleys charity for the Walden Woods project. I dont believe it came with a coa. I had printed out the page from their website showing the sale of these guitars at the time. The first one they sent me one of the autographs was smeared. I contacted the Eagles website. Ended up sending it back and they sent me another one. At the time I printed out the advertisement of the guitars on their site all the black ones were gone. Only the beige colored ones were left. I may have gotten the last one that wasn't smeared.

you have collected some great memorabilia, enough to start your own Hard Rock by the looks of it. 
wonder what ever happened to the smeared guitars?
