Recently I purchased a Bart Starr signed full size helmet off Ebay. I know there's a lot of concern with buying auto's off Ebay. The helmet came with a Steiner authentication, but there's no code on the sticker to verify the authentication. I wanted anyone's thoughts on the autograph. I have posted the auto to this discussion. The Steiner sticker does not look tampered with, but I'm still hesitant to trust the authentication. Thanks to anyone who has any thoughts!

I began writing to him in Dec. 1988, and received several autographs from him from then thru the early 1990s. I will attach some of them so you can compare with your helmet signature. My experience at that time was that he was a most willing signer. I have other signatures, but this should suffice.
For what it's worth, I have an older Dan Marino jersey with a Steiner COA that does not have an authentication number on it either. I actually contacted Steiner and they assured me that they did in fact issue unnumbered COA's back in the day. I think the auto looks pretty good. I've attached a scan of my in person Starr autograph.
