Queen band, What price would this get selling private please

Hi ive joined a Queen facebook page also, but still unsure of real value. I understand collectors, shops want a bargain. But im undecided what to do with this autograph, is it better to hold on to. Will it really increase in value for my kids?  Anyway some of you maybe on that page as well. This autograph was signed by the band Queen in january 1974 on a British airway flight from London to Australia  as they must of been going to the Sunbury Concert in Victoria Australia.  Please advice what youd do  thanks in advance.

That is a fabulous set of autographs.  You should not sell that for less than £3,000.  I’d personally open it up to a wider audience and sell on eBay.  Or you could consign to a reputable auction house.  Depends on how quick you’re looking to sell.

The Sunbury gig is of course infamous for the compare introducing Queen as ‘the gang of Pommie poofs’ with Queen then apparently being booed off stage.  Collectors have search endlessly for footage of the show which is rumoured to exist but never surfaced.

Good luck with it.

Thanks Jimbo  not in a hurry either way. Im not a collector, so this is all new to me. Only recently found it after 20years not knowing where i put it  lol. Was only young when it got done  so dont know much about early days of Queen.

Hi Jimbo,

Stories like the one you've told are what make Queen one of the greatest bands of all time: they never stopped believing in themselves! In fact --as you know, they return to Australia two years later in 1976 as one of the best Rock bands around the world!

Things like that are what make a simple collection became a COLLECTION: I mean, the history behind the stuff. Items have no life itselves, but their History behind make it possible! That's because I think this set and others posted here recently are really interesting. I have no doubt about it.

That is an amazing set!

Thank you, nice find after many years  not sure my adult kids would appreciate it thou.

Amazing!!! A few days ago, one single 1974 autograph by Freddie was sold on eBay for about 2900 euro (£2500 more or less), so I guess this set could be valued for more. It's really cool!! :)

Thats good to know  i havent checked ebay,  but came across this website last week whilst googling away. I did see member innuendo had great knowledge of Queens items  so im hoping he/she will reply. Thanks

If you do hold on to it make sure you keep a note (with it!) explaining what it is, what kind of value it has and where it could be sold. If you were eight years old in 1974 you shouldn't be pushing up daisies any time soon but anything can happen and you would want your children to know what they have.

By the way, is there any way of merging your two threads or asking a site administrator to do it?

Thanks Pug, yes i will do that. Not sure how 2 threads happened. Maybe admin can fix it.
