1946 is the year of his diagnosis. This has been altered - removed writing. Several stains, a rip and age toning unevenly. It appears there is some show-through of something rectangular on the other side.

Is the entire book being offered or just that page? In either case, while this is close at least, there are such great Ruth forgeries that I'd get opinions from experts in Ruth. Beckett has a signature review that will look at it for only $15 or so, and it will likely be looked at by Steve Grad, who I think is the best at Ruth.

Great news! I’d ask them to hold the page up an off what it’s laying on and shoot photos front and back so you can check for thins and other damage before you buy.
