Honestly, I doubt anyone would be able to tell you from those photos. A fake would presumably be made to look like the real thing--it'd probably be more a question of feel than look.

JSA's website indicates that JSA launched in '05.

I don't know when Steve Grad started a PSA, but this article indicates that it was about 15 years prior to him leaving in 2016.

So that'd put the window somewhere between '00 and '05 for when that cert would've been issued.

I've never dealt with a PSA card from that time period, but maybe someone here has. Though, again, I'd expect it to be more a question of feel than look..

So in your view do the signature look good or can't say the letter o in Jordan got me wandering plus no LOA in database neither fake cards do occur

The question was about the card, and I'm answering just about the card.

No LOA for a signature like this would seem...unusual, but, again, this card would've been issued between 2000 and 2005.

When did PSA/DNA start offering letters for modern individual submitted items? Was that an option at this particular time? If it was an option, would it have been considered a viable option by the submitter?

I personally don't recall coming across many non-auction PSA/DNA LOAs from the James Spence era. One of the only ones that came up in a few quick Google searches highlights "Vintage" in the letterhead, which wouldn't have applied to a Michael Jordan Bulls jersey in 2000 to 2005.

These others (1, 2, 3, 4), notably signed by Steve Grad as well, are for collections of items, which, again, wouldn't have applied to a one-off Michael Jordan jersey.

So I don't know if an LOA was a viable option at the time of submission. If it wasn't, then I don't think the submitter not getting it, despite the value (even then) of the item should weigh against the authenticity of the certificate.

And, personally, I don't know if it was or wasn't. The Google searches were a bit less than enlightening, as I documented.

And, as I mentioned, it likely won't be easy to distinguish a fake card from a real card from this (or necessarily any) photo. You could probably send it in to PSA to verify the cert--that's the whole point of the DNA thing, if I'm not mistaken. That'd probably be the easiest way to handle it.

I do not recall ever seeing a PSA card coa with both Spence and Grad on it, but that does not mean they do not exist.

Secondly, the print quality of the signatures on the card and some of the other type looks really grainy... like it could be a reproduction/counterfeit COA.
