I’ve looked all over and this one has me stumped. I’ve found examples that match and examples that don’t, it may just be that this is an older autograph but I’m not sure. Any help would really be appreciated

It has some authentic traits but is a little strange. Do you have any background on when it may have been signed or the seller?

Unfortunately I don’t have a clue where it came from, my parents used to buy me different autographs back in the 90’s and could have ordered it from anywhere. As far as when, probably mid 90’s or earlier. As I’ve gone through them over the past year I’ve ended up with fakes and authentics, unfortunately it’s difficult to tell which this one is

I dont know the timeline of Robert's autograph, but I do know he has at least 2 versions.. the one he seems to use lately is more of a printed style. This matches up with his other style that is handwritten but ill try to do more research. Im leaning towards this being real

Thanks I really appreciate it!  The changes I see in his signature when looking at examples online really has me stumped!

Here's one of mine signed in his handwritten version. Looking closer now, there are a few things I dont like about yours. But also areas I do like. Dan Morris is right, it does have traits of being authentic but also areas of concern. Im not in love with the E or the way the "g" is detached. Ill still keep an eye out for similar examples.

Thanks for looking into it some more! Yeah I’m pretty happy with the Robert but your right there are definitely concerns in the Englund. Unfortunately this may end up being one I’m never completely sure of.

No Problem, I love Robert so I'm willing to put in work to learn more with you. I also had concerns with the "d". There are so many people who have posted results within the past 10 years, its hard to find a known good example from the 90s. Instead, i searched for authenticated examples. I dont normally do this. It depends on how much you trust an authenticators opinion, but i have run into a few that match up with yours. I havent yet found one with a detatched "g" though but found a PSA example that is similar to your E, and a JSA example that matches up with your "d".

Im in a similar situation right now with a Shakira autograph and know how tough it is to stay undecided on an autograph in your collection.. im doing my best to make sure your Robert doesn't end up the same way.. After all of my research, ive come to the conclusion that if you were to send this in to be authenticated, it would most likely pass. Thats not good enough for me though.. my gut feeling on this, i feel it is real but still would want to sleep on it for a little while. I will remember this post and will come back in the future if I find better in-person examples.

Thank you so much for finding those! They definitely make me feel better about it’s chances of being real. It’s crazy how much his signature has varied over time, really makes it difficult. Yeah it can drive you a little crazy not knowing. I have a separate book I keep the questionable ones in because it just doesn’t feel right keeping them with the ones I know are authentic. I really appreciate all of your help and hope your able to find some more info on your Shakira
