This is good....signed in-person during a post-war UK tour in 1947. We are used to seeing "through the mail" signed photos which are somewhat common (and sometimes suspect). Here's another in-person from '47, probably from the same signing event:

Yes, I do believe it's genuine. Most people are used to seeing their "through the mail' signed photos from 'Laurel And Hardy Productions' (usually the ones by the photog. Stax). This is a slightly different look to their signatures, but entirely typical of that period in the late 40's (again, look at the album page below).
