U2 Fully Autographed Album: With or Without Real Signatures....?

IMG_5567.jpgIMG_5568.jpgIMG_5569.jpgIMG_5571.jpg

Any thoughts on the authenticity of the signatures on this U2 LP? It came from a record collection where the owner worked in television and had some genuine signed LPs (for example, an Eddie Van Halen signed Van Halen LP from when he was a guest star on a TV show) and he also went to a lot of shows and seems to have gotten things signed there. But it looks to me that “82” is written under Bono’s name (?) and of course the LP only came out in 1984. The Edge signature is also quite faint. Thanks!

Bono may have been trying for another late 80s date there. This actually looks like a good one.

This looks authentic to me as well. When Bono dates his sigs they are often hard to make out so even though it looks like "82" it could be late 80's. Too bad about the faint "Edge"   Here is one actually signed in 1982.

Are yours? Amazing!

Thank you both. I felt that the provenance indicated it was probably real but between the weird Bono dating and the faint "Edge" obviously not the strongest example of a fully autographed sleeve (though probably of great sentimental value to the original owner). Since U2 played a big US tour in 1987, I was thinking that was what Bono was looking for...

Beautiful signatures and 99.99% authentic in my opinion. Don't dwell too much on the date, Bono signed with the wrong dates many times :-)
