signature art who is it?

My late father was an artist who made pictures from signatures of famous people. I own a picture and do not know the owner of the signature. Can you help me?

Thanks! Definitly not Groucho. It starts with a capital G followed by several letters which might be any number of n, u, i or e. Then I see a b which might lead to the ending beck or bess/beß.

Any idea?
