If people want to disagree I’m ok with it but it’s irresponsible for auction houses to post autographs in frames. I never liked it and still don’t. It just screams copy to me.
I was pleasantly surprised to see this piece mentioned when I discovered the forum this week! I was the winning bidder for this lot a couple of months ago. The auction started an hour earlier than most (9am instead of 10am) and it was an early lot, so I think it went relatively cheap. See below a picture of it nicely reframed. It's the closest I have to a complete set (I do have a few from George but nothing that matches date wise), so it's living with me, and also for sale on eBay (at a price to keep the other half happy that I spent that much in the first place... 'it's an investment' etc etc) incase an offer comes along and funds can go back into 'the pot'.
Really enjoying reading back posts in this forum. Thank you all for your work in sharing pieces. I look forward to contributing.
