Not being a dealer or auctioneer I am perfectly suited to referee this discussion if need be. This section is mostly for Items that PSA/DNA has certified that in an opinion of authenticators has missed the mark (AND NOT as far as they know been corrected) along with any other items of significance.
In some cases the certification provided might be a simple rejection while in other cases it's certifying it as authentic when it may be far from it.
The thread is not about the good, the bad or ugly of 3rd parties as there is already an excellent thread in the forum on this started by R&R's Bobby Livington that everyone should follow. That thread alone has produced three disccusions on Farrah Fawcett, Elvis, and now this.
Hopefully, AM members will follow this thread (I am sure the fraudsters & propaganda machines will) and point others to it - Perhaps, the owners of the item that is cited. Those owners can then deal with the authentication firm or sellers and report back their journey.
Since I don't expect the PSA/DNAs of the world to come online and defend/refute (althugh the have an open invitation) the postings then be advised this is not a thread to speculate, accuse, or otherwise besmirch what is or what isn't being done.
So 'nuff said and on with the items. To keep discussions focused and contained - Each Item contributors need to stay in the realm of that item so commentary is not all over the place.
remember if you post an item denote the PSA/DNA number on their sticker... One, if they choose can also validate the item's number on the PSA/DNAs database to see if it is in fact a product of PSA/DNA as we have heard that the fraudsters are/have created bogus ones and report your findings here.

Look at his feedback. he tried to sell the same item to another buyer, and they refused to pay for it because only the finley was PSA'd.
Here's the thing - they actually look close to the real thing. But this is pretty clear PSA "fraud" in that they had pulled off getting one signature authenticated, and tried to pass the rest of them off as PSA. And Rodgers, Jennings, Jones and Cobb haven't done recent signings as far as I'm aware. There's a picture of Driver signing at Legends of the Field, but the Legends hologram or Driver's own hologram should be affixed. Considering that Rodgers currently charges at least $175, Driver is about $70, Jennings and Finley at least $50+, Jones about $25 - 30 and I've never seen a Cobb appearance (though I'm sure he's done something up in Green Bay that I've missed), I'm not sure how this seller's starting price is $150.
I'll agree that the photos are the most problematic part. And that the Rodgers looks good. However, these guys all have really sloppy autographs, and Rodgers, Finley, Jones and Driver seem like they would be particularly easy to forge. I know that Driver seems to be a great guy and fairly accessible for free autographs, that photo is from Legends last Monday - the seller is indicating that's where he got it from.
I know Finley has done a couple of signings since this magazine came out, most notably at Waukesha Sports Cards a couple weeks back (PSA was not on site to the best of my knowledge, as WSC has their own hologram and COA), in which he signed many copies of this magazine.
Here's the problem with the training camp theory: this magazine came out about a month ago. While the Packers obviously hold practice throughout the week, it's hardly a good opportunity to get any autographs at all (let alone the top stars) as they jet to and from the Hutson Center or Nitchke Field in their cars during the winter months. And I have to imagine that getting Rodgers at a non-signing is harder than ever since his rise to stardom.
It really comes down to plausibility. Do I think that this seller was able to have all six of these guys sign this magazine so nicely in the same pen at a non-signing event amidst Green Bay's three game road trip? Even getting a couple of these guys to sign for free during that stretch would be impressive.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I haven't tried the whole training camp thing in years, but I remember that while I always had marginal success as a kid, there were always those people who just knew how to get it done (though Favre was usually virtually impossible). Still - zero evidence of where he got it, and I have yet to hear back from the seller on my very basic question as to where he got them.
Check that - he just replied in an ultra-detailed email: "They were signed at several locations the past month."
No further questions, your honor.
I just checked - the Waukesha signing was on Nov. 8th. Even if he got it signed at that one, you're right - it would take several weeks to get back. So Rodgers, Jennings, Cobb, Driver, Jones and Nelson all signed in the past week or two? LOL.
does sound iffy especially since there are hundreds of certs by psa after this one. Can't pin PSA with a seller purposely misleading buyers especially since one buyer already bought it thinking they were all certed. Since the seller is claiming a november cert and it has only one individual being certified it would appear to be deceptive at the very least on the part of this seller;
also, if you look at the picture being signed by Rodgers, it's not this one.
Yeah, that photo was from his first post-Super Bowl signing on February 28th. That magazine was on the stands last month.
It is kind of surprising though that people are willing to bid away on terrible, obviously fake GAI autographs, but no one's touching one that is actually pretty well done.
there are two strikes against him, as far as bidding. you dont normally see GAI items with high starting bids, like this one. that scares people away. and many people do check feedback, as I did, and the latest feedback would scare anyone away.
