Any opinions on this Ted ball and Mays photo? Mays photo comes with "Say Hey" authentication, which I know means pretty much nothing at this point. But, worth a shot, right?! Thanks

The Williams is good.

I'll refrain from commenting on the Mays ; over the last 10 years the forgeries are often indistinguishable from the good stuff. Even the pros are getting fooled.

Thanks AC!

Can imagine about the Mays. Would love to add to my collection, but am pretty nervous because I know there's so much forged stuff of his squiggles!

I agree 99.9% the Williams is good, my only issue is that the d in Ted is bigger/higher than the W in Williams.  usually, you see a much smaller/shorter d.

As far as the Mays I totally agree, way too many forgeries of squiggles.  The one thing I will say is that the W in Willie specifically bothers me because where the line goes across, it is usually from the left, to the right, then back to the left again.  If you look where it the letter starts on the bottom, then goes up, then curves around toward the right, the ink is a consistent thin line.  Then it appears to stop in the middle, not line up anymore, then get much thicker as it continues to the right and then back to the left.  Hope that makes sense.

Thanks!

I think I see what you mean. There's like a level change at the point youre talking about. Not necessarily a lift, but the ink drops a bit lower. Didn't see that initially, thanks for the insight!

No problem.  I tend to look for these type of inconsistencies, they directly effect the flow of the signature.

For comparison, here's one of my Williams balls (PSA/DNA). It's a run of the mill, vanilla signature. Again, nothing at all concerns me with your example.

Dang, that's a beautiful one! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you!

Beautiful signature

the Williams is good.  the Mays resembles a known forgery style.
