Thank you sir. I will take your advice and try the eBay approach....with patience. It's so cool to me, I sorta hating letting go. ....seasons of life...

Deleted my last reply. Im still super interested but I dont want these forums to turn into ebay advertising

What did you say? eBay's OK if you learn from sites like ours what to look for and how to protect themselves.

I told him to post the link here if he lists on ebay for awareness but probably not my place to say that. I  don't want everyone treating this site as extra advertising for their ebay items

Steve, im wondering now if that might be a good idea. A separate category for people to post rare items for sale on eBay, it actually seems like a good idea but I feel like everything, people will take advantage and it would become a circus. Could be something to think about though

Jason H,

You're right that Autograph Live hasn't allowed buying and selling autographs for a long time. We allowed it at one time but the few—very few—people who used it to try to sell forgeries made me decide to close it.

But if we can protect collectors well, I'm happy to bring it back.

I personally wouldn't mind. Trades as well. Especially with trusted members on here.

Could there be a way to use ebay in doing for the lesser known members? They would have to eat the fees until they build reputation. Ebay has 30 days for the buyer to return if there is a problem and they heavily side with the buyer for any reason given.

For trades, I wonder if there could be a trusted 3rd party moderator who collects both items to inspect before shipping them on, maybe for a small fee specifically for high priced items. Its fun to think about but not sure if that would be practical

Overall, id be all for opening a market for selling and trading.

Time, cost, and liability are concerns of mine. Liability especially. There's a real chance I'll could get sued at some point.

I can definitely see that. But would it be possible to have members who participate required to sign some form of release?
