Must order by October 29th for it to be autographed by Zack

hey can you you let us know which is their email? perhaps if we all use this they will do for all
Waxfacetoys@gmail.com is the one I used. Listed as a contact on my order confirmation email. I saw an email address posted when making my decision of front or back stating to contact them if any more questions... It may or may not be the same address. I wasn't concerned about contacting them at that moment so didn't pay attention to the actual address listed there
I agree. Id prefer Zachs signature alone since its not like a normal artists print with a white border at the bottom for them to sign, usually in pencil... its just like a normal photograph, so its kind of weird to have the photographers signature covering part of the photo... where it makes more sense and is normal to have a celebrity's signature cover a photo. I just hope he doesn't have a giant bold signature that overpowers the ZDLR initials.
But also kind of a dick move to ask that the photographer not sign it, or sign on the back. I'd think that would be really offensive to the photographer (whether you care or not is a different story lol)... but me personally, I'd rather not piss them off and just hope it turns out nice, and be happy I got ZDLR for cheap.
Maybe as a happy alternative you could ask the photographer to sign it in the bottom right corner, like where artists normally sign, and then leave the upper space for Zach. (Or if it really bothers you, remove it, Id be too scared to mess it up though, so I wouldn't do that)
Good morning
I replied that I wanted signatures on front.
I think it might be a dick move to ask that photographer not sign. I like the silver pen idea … maybe gold ?
I think the Stallone book has emboldened people to be less respectful. Although I think it has always been present in the community.
It is Mr Friedman's photo, it is his art show and Zack De La Rocha is doing him a big favour by showing up and signing stuff as a guest. Yet people on here are like "don't sign it you peasant, only Zack!".
They even did us a solid by asking us where to sign, something I have never seen before (by mail) and people still act like entitled brats.
Agreed. This is a huge favor.
The photographer is talented- it’s a good picture. It’s art.
In 20 years, you’ll be glad you’re 1:500.
I’m grateful for the opportunity.
its tough out there stalking at events. It’s turning into a business. I get run off more than I get something signed these days.
If that response was directed at me in anyway, I didn't mean it in an offensive/entitled way. I was just giving an answer/opinion to the post asking the photographer to sign in a different spot, or not sign.
And I agree, especially since its being sold by the photographers own website, and at his show. Like I said, it would be pretty offensive to ask for him not to sign it, or sign on the back... but I also understand some ppl are buying this only for the Zach autograph, and they're a fan of Zach only, and would have bought anything with his signature on it, so the photo and photographer doesn't matter to them. Not saying its right, but understand some ppl think that way.
So I agree that its entitled to think that way and offensive to ask Glenn not to sign. You're paying for the art and getting the signatures free. So like I said me personally, I would not do it... and probably best that nobody asks that, and risks there being no signings in the future.
I agree about the entitlement but thats kinda always been the case in the modern autograph collecting world/market in general, I'd say. How many videos exist of graphers begging for 20 autographs from some celeb who's walking through the airport tired. And then when they dont want to sign they get called names or booed, and posted online complaining. So the whole thing has always had a bit of entitlement to it. Or people p****** off celebs by hounding them and they stop signing completely. Its kind of the same thinking as asking the photographer not to sign.
I also agree that were lucky he's signing, thats why I'll be happy with whatever I get, as long as its not smeared or you can't see the signatures or something. Especially in today's market where celebs are charging $500-1000 at private signings or conventions. Essentially were paying for the art, and getting the signatures for free.
Gold is a good idea, the photo has a lot of brown/tan/goldish tones so that would be pretty cool too. As long as it doesn't blend in too much, I'll be happy.
Oh, not directly…
it was just an opinion about asking the question… I wouldn’t be received well I think.
I value this discussion group and consider you guys compadres, so, no friction me.
