Hi Reva,

Hate to say it but you're Cy Young looked like a clear forgery to me, but since I'm not a pro, I asked a friend who confirmed it. May I ask where it's from? I'm guessing a regional antique and collectibles auction house. Did it comes with certification?

Thanks,

Steve

Thanks Steve,

It belonged to a friend of mine for years. He claims that his Grandfather obtained it from Cy personally in Ohio sometime in the early 50's. I recently traded him some vintage baseball cards for it. Not what I wanted to hear but Thank You for your thoughts.

Reva :)

Reva,

I'm sorry to hear that. PSA/DNA will give a quick opinion for $7.50 on eBay. You can list it on eBay, the cheapest listing, for under a buck. Then ask PSA/DNA to give an opinion on it. For a total of less than $10 you'll have an opinion you can have a lot of confidence in.

The friend I asked is a respected, long-time baseball dealer, but you may get different qualified opinions.

Steve,

Thank You so much for the help. I just may do that.  :)

Reva

I have to agree with Steve.  The Young's I have seen have much more pointed letter formations. this is too flowy, and the letters rounded.
