Hi everybody! I'm new to this site, but have been reading through it every night for the past few days. While searching this forum, I haven't quite found a good spot where I can get a reference to a trusted eBay autograph merchant. Since anything I buy is specifically for me (and maybe as some birthday/Christmas gifts), I'd really like to make sure that I'm putting my best foot forward. If there are any sellers out there that you buy from and trust, please throw the recommendation my way.

Thanks!

Trusted Merchant & EBAY are often times an oxymoron.

http://live.autographmagazine.com/forum/categories/good-auction-hou... is a thread that covers some places on ebay as well as our own Autograph Pros, Autograph World, & Celebrity Authentics are a few that come to mind.  There are others but like anything else what are your interests.

make sure you are familiar with the EBAY Banned list and finally it's not about the merchant but rather the item's authenticity.

I'm primarily looking to purchase signatures of modern actors/actresses. I know that some people have the intent to scam hapless buyers with fakes. I'm not naive enough to think that good sellers can't be fooled too. I'm just trying to find someone that I can put some trust in. I'll do the best research I can and ask questions, and hopefully both parties will come out happy. I really appreciate the input DB.

Thanks for the advice Mike! I know these could be really hard to get, but I'd really like a Woody Allen or Mel Brooks. David Tennant would be nice to have, but I know that I would definitely have to look at oversees stuff for him. I think my holy grail right now would be Sean Connery.

Thanks for the reply Mike. David Tennant is the 10th incarnation of Doctor Who. How can I email you regarding the Connery? My email address is reddragon2016@netzero.com if you want to send me a scan.

Mike, Do you have a website? My apologies if thats a silly question but being from the UK I dont know who you are!

Ian, I know a lot of Dr. Who cast members make the rounds at Showmasters (i.e. Collectormania) events.  It doesn't look like he'll be at this year's LFCC, unfortunately, and I'm not sure how common it is for him to make such appearances.  Off the top of my head, here are a couple of highly respected UK in-person collectors who have a few Tennants up for sale:

You may want to check the ACAF forum, as that is UK based.  They'll have a much better grasp on Dr. Who autographs overall.

Ian - just found this:  Tennant will be at the Entertainment Media Show in London this October.  It looks like perhaps they're not taking pre-orders yet, but they will eventually.  This way you can get whatever you want signed:

Richard, you are a saint. Cheers for the links! I was completely clueless as to how to find a good UK seller. Lol, I think everyone could use a little help now and again Mike.

No problem!   Though I have only the weakest familiarity with Dr. Who autographs, I knew I recognized Tennant's name from some UK autograph collecting and dealer websites.

Ian,Im currently selling my Woody Allen signed postcard on ebay.I got it in the 90s.I believe its listed at $24.99

Thanks for the heads up, Mark. I know you've had a long time, so you're sure it's not a secretarial or auto-pen?

It sure looks good to me,yes.
