Ok, first and most important this is not about bashing anyones opinion or expertise.

But I really believe this needs to be brought to the attention of this great community as (with my little knowledge about music autographs) I´m very confused with these (genuine? forged? partly forged?) autographs.

In another U2 thread in this forum this signed item from the current Iconic Memorabilia item was considered to be not genuine:

And the following item is offered by R&R at the current auction:

In my opinion these signatures are 99.9% identical.

If there are really differences in the signatures, which I don´t see, then the forger must do a heck of a job and I find it necessary to discuss this here so nobody will get fooled by this skilled forger.

I am a fan and collector of U2 and I think both the album and the photo are real.

Check these out . . . from Antiquities of California, who I always felt was spotty and overpriced.  Same forger?

Yeah Richard, more fuel to add to the fire on this one.  And just for giggles, let's say the album is a forgery and the photo is legit.  What will be the verdict on the photo and the guitar?  To come full circle with this thread, all of the items appear to be 99.9% identical.  So where does that leave us?  We have quite a few individuals that are certain these are forgeries, while others are certain that these are authentic.

It's not exactly closure on the matter, that's for sure.  It's a similar circumstance to the photo and album that were originally posted.  Alone, the signatures leave me scratching my head.  Side by side is a where I'm convinced they're not authentic.

And the original photo just sold on RR Auctions for over a grand.

It does not give me a lot of hope.  Autograph collecting appears to be in the same state as our political system.  Split down the middle.  50/50.

I hear you.

Anyone wanting a honest opinion on U2 signatures please email me direct at kiwaj@aol.com.
I have been collecting U2 memorabilia for over 25 years.

Hi Jason

Please post your opinion on the album and photo. Any explanation why yes or know is appreciated.

Thanks

Old topic, but this appears to be another one from the same source.  Whoever's churning these out needs to get a clue that Bono doesn't sign a heart at the end of every signature.
