Please make a scan of the entire item so I can see the signatures size. As of now, I would say no good in my opinion but make more scans.

Hi Mike did you see the other picture attached below of the full jersey?

Sorry for the late response, was at work.  Here's my opinion based on both scans: it COULD be real, but very unlikely.  If this was supposedly obtained "in person" or on the street so to speak, I don't feel comfortable with it.  Also, it looks very labored in the beginning of the signature.  The brilliance of soccer jerseys is that they are so thin that if someone forges, you can see the ink "pool" in one part of the item.  Cristiano usually gives this type of signature in sit-down private signings (ie. AC Milan coming to Adidas store in Manhattan; the players will be sitting down while the sign, therefore will be giving nicer signatures than they would if they were standing up and signing).  If you don't mind me asking, where did you get this piece from?  Also, what is the story behind it?  Soccer autographs are extremely difficult to authenticate in that so few exemplars exist since they play outside the US, and rarely sign.   I will be going to a signing that I mentioned earlier on august 7th, and I will post the examples of players' signatures for future reference for all.  Hopefully they will be used more for good than for bad; hopefully these examples that I will be getting will shed light on this part of the hobby.  Really bad stuff all around.  When the World Cup was in motion, ridiciously FAKED signed jerseys were being sold at $200-800 a pop by the THOUSANDS on eBay.  Not surprisingly, the users that sold these fakes are no longer active, and will pop up again in two years when the next world cup is played.  All in all, be very careful with soccer autographs.  Make sure you trust the person you are buying from and make sure they are reputable in the business , and do your research.

Regards,

Mike.

Awesome thanks alot Harry i really appreciate it!

I have a couple of Ronaldo signed shirts but both in a vault so can't get scans up on here just yet. This looks similar to others I've seen and where he's taken a bit more time rather than the squiggle you get from him at an airport etc. My feeling is it is genuine.

which is why I am a bit concerned.  If it was signed at an airport in person etc, it would be a very rare signature to be so full like that.  Looked at some examples from his private signings and they look similar to Nelson's.  Which is why I think it could be authentic.

yea i hope its authentic. This one means alot to me. i appreciate the help Mike. I got it from a seller on ebay which aqyuired it from a UK company, there website is funky but. it s trademark-memorabilia.com and came with COA . the seller also has said he will refund my money if im not happy no questions asked. Also i asked him if he was able to get me a autograph from a player that played in  Sporting Lisbon named Beto Acosta, he told me he new a dealer in Spain but no one in Portugal but would speak to him and see. At the end he said he was not able to get me that. Wouldnt you think maybe he would try and forge that if he wanted?

i hope so too Dan i did look at other signatures from reputable companies and i did see some very similar

Just out of interest Nelson, is it a Real Madrid jersey and if so, was it game worn as that would be worth a lot? A nice item either way.

Yes it is a Real Madrid jersey white\gold home jersey. it was not worn it does still have the orginal real madrid\adidas tag on it though

Ok, i took a look at the website.  I do NOT like this team signed Madrid shirt at all and very similar to the World Cup garbage that went on during ebay.  They look penned by the same person in my opinion.  My question is how in the world do they get so many team signed shirts.  All of the signatures are perfectly placed, which unless they were in a controlled environment does not happen.

Here's a site, that actually pays the athletes to sign. No question as to the authenticity of anything they sell.   http://www.icons.com/ Now why, I ask, is a single signed Ronaldo jersey fetching for more than double the price of this TEAM SIGNED shirt.  http://trademark-memorabilia.com/Real-Madrid-Home-Team-Signed-Footb...

I'm not trying to be a downer, but that story of having connections etc  has been said a LOT and I reiterate the team signed jerseys being sold during the previous World Cup.  When and where was it signed is my question.
