Hi,
some time ago I bought a Deep Purple "concerto for group and orchestra" LP (Harvest/EMI press SHVL 767 from 1970) at a flea market.
Home again I recognized that there were writings on the photos of the musicians in the booklet.
I don´t know if these writings really are genuine autographes, because they don´t look like recent Deep Purple autographs at all (take a look at the photos). But I can imagine, that the bandmembers changed their signatures from "private" to "professional" after having success with their following records "in rock" and "fireball" (the first records didn't hit the charts at all).
This could explain, why these signatures look different. The other explaination would be, that they aren´t genuine :-)
Has anyone ever seen older autographes of the band and can help me?
I hope you can understand my bad english! Sorry for my mistakes.

I don't think these are genuine. There is no similarities with any of their autographs that they have signed later in their carrer. It's more common that one or two members change their signatures, but not a whole band.
I think it's a fan who had some fun with this record.
