Thanks I appreciate your quick response.
Churchill is a very desirable autograph and this one looks good. The problem with Churchill is he was a great one for facsimile notes that were sent by the thousands to fans for various occasions. Many first time collectors get fooled by these especially if framed. I bought one years ago in a "junk" shop a bunch of letters from various famous folk to a lady in upstate NY . She apparently spent most of her time writing everyone about everything. The note only cost about three dollars (albeit 1970s dollars) so i was not all that disappointed years later when I discovered another exact same note at another shop. Fortunately there were so many of these made I am sure someone can find examples online. As with any autograph you need to do research but this is especially important with Churchill.
Me to I bough a huge junk lot of mixed letters and cuts at auction for 40$ I believe 3 years ago and put them aside , some letters were answers to request for autographed signed letters responding to mostly the same person(i believe her name was alice seaman) and there were also index cuts and 200 year old letters.(that I still haven t figured out who signed them )
I sold some on ebay during the last 2 weeks(sold churchill,grant,george w bush,swami yogananda....)
ebay id: majoretteca or website www.majorette.ca
I still have a bunch of papers that need identifying.
