My opinion is no, its not real.
Barry,
Online Authentics doesn't actually authenticate as far as I can tell from reading their website. They register the items. I wouldn't buy a Muhammad Ali from the last 5 years or so that wasn't from a recognized private signing with full documentation. If you can verify the signing then perhaps go for it. Is this the exchange offered to you?
"Online Authentics doesn't actually authenticate as far as I can tell from reading their website."
WRONG! They were established by Ali's manager, they are the best out there in certification, they are present during signings!!! Anything with a OA sticker buy! This is 100% real.
this is real. online authentics are genuine and have a relationship with ali enterprises. 100% genuine.
This is what I think is going on.
OA used to have an exclusive with Ali for a while I believe. Then they started this database crap which the forgers jumped all over since now they will have a OA hologram. People basically pay them money to scan them and put the pictures online. ZERO authentication is involved with the database/review section of their website as I have seen some comical forgeries with OA holograms. But they are just databased, not the real OA holograms which when you look them up name the date of the signing.
It stinks for the people holding real OA items as if the website ever goes away every item will have the same holograms on them.
