Paid for the PSA quick peek and it came back "Likely not authentic" but they don't say why they think that.

Drew,

Don't be confused with the 2 companies. Although the initials of both companies are both GA they are 2 separate entities. Global Authentics is an authentication company and Gridiron Authentics who is the the seller of these horrible looking signatures.

Here is a horrible looking Joe Namath signature. Notice the "M" in Namath it stopped and started again..

 /foot in mouth my bad

drew, can you edit your post title by adding gridiron authentics & EBAY gridironlegends as based on the information supplied by peter it would appear a wider discussion might be in order.

Renamed thread as requested. What I'd like to know because I haven't seen it in a single feedback on their ebay or elsewhere is this. Has anyone recently had a Gridiron Authentics item pass TPA?

I'd also like to see that but don't think people actually do bother because they see a photo of the athlete signing A item, Not that particular item just a simular one so they assume it's that specific item. If that is the case they should really use a new photo for Brady because the one they are using is from his rookie year when he did a free (yes I said FREE) signing.

I'd also love to see a copy of the checks that they write to these players for signing all of those items for them. They have a never ending supply. I also love the Junior Seau's that they have, I bet they are getting more as we speak..

The Seau's they even claim on their Ebay that it was his "One and only signing as a Patriot". One signing and a never ending supply on the back side. On their ebay alone they've sold a ton of the Seaus, and thats neglecting the fact they also sell them on their own site, and many of these promoters also sell to tons of other dealers. I guess it's fine for the people who will just take their word for it. But for something I'm spending several hundred dollars for, I'd like to hear someone else say it's legit.

Great thread guys. I've always been under the impression that Gridiron Authentics was legit. This is the first thread I’ve come across with legitimate complaints about them. I have purchased 2 items from them off Ebay, although as a general rule I collect in person or only buy if the items have a JSA or PSA cert.

I agree that the volume of items they sell from individual players is disconcerting, and I don’t like how they use stock photos on all their listing and generic photo certifications for their items.

However I personally just had my Jr. Seau Chargers mini helmet that I purchased from Gridiron pass PSA authentication today.

This is my personal experience and by no means an endorsement of all Gridiron Authentics stuff. But obviously they do sell some legit stuff if mine passed PSA.

I think one of their biggest problems is they never change there listing verbage or photos. For instance, I find it hard to believe that Jr. Seau only did one signing as it’s well known he had money issues before he died.

I'm starting to become more than a little concerned about Gridiron Authentics.  I have 8 items from them.  A few are from last year and I haven't looked at them until this week, other I received in the past month.  All of the signatures see to be really close, nothing that really stand out and draws your attention, but each one does some some iffy spots.  I'm listing photo's of those eight:  Roger Staubach Duke football, Staubach mini helmet, Bart Starr mini helmet, Terry Bradshaw mini helmet, Barry Sanders Proline helmet, Barry Sanders football, Jim Brown 8x10, and a YA Tittle 8x10.

Please let me know your opinion.  If you have anything with a Gridiron Authentics cert/hologram, please pull it out and take another closer look, just to be safe.  If we can come to a consensus, there may be a big fish on the hook.

here are a few Tri-Star Bart Starr;

concerned enough where I've asked EBAY to investigate as the rejections by JSA seems way out of line.

DB,

Are you suggesting that JSA is in error? Just want to make sure I understand. I have three Bart Starr signed photo's and a football. The B in Bart and the S in Starr are not the same in the mini helmet I have (photo shown). Compare the signatures you listed to my mini helmet. Thanks.

just the opposite.

that's why I posted the Tri-Star ones.

I misunderstood.
