Garry King is well liked by some but I see a big problem with some of the items I see on his site.  I'm not referring to Kenny Baker and other small bits but rather the large $$ music items.

Dealers in the UK might not be aware of current music item that they offer for sale.  In another thread several autographs from Autografica were deemed fake.  The items were Clint Eastwood, Charlton Heston and Harrison Ford.

He might not know there is a problem.

You guys are no stop have you not heard of a DVD player that plays movies or maybe since it's all man on here how about go and find a hole to go and poke .
Just wait till it's out next week surely there must be something more to life than this thread lol .
I recommend sons of anarchy or breaking bad good shows :-)
Whoa now Hoss, many of us can multi-task.

Maybe the "club" should have published their full findings as they PROMISED.

Don't blame us, they deserve any attention that they get.

Thank God for the good ol' amendment número uno.

I have to agree with Brandon. Not all AFTAL members are bad and their is no doubt Jason is a great dealer. But the AFTAL board has acted horribly about this whole situation. Their really is no excuse whatsoever. If they made a mistake so be it, even if it hurts to tell the truth, and even if they still trust this dude who sold them and it makes the board look bad, they still have an obligation too take action. Not to sweep it under the rug, which is exactly what has happened here.

Although in the future i will try not to look at the AFTAL label with suspicion, i doubt i will be successful. At this point i just give up on the UACC and AFTAL. I know their are some great dealers out their in each category, but i just dont think the standards are enforced very well. Its just like the thread i posted earlier about the music dealers that are UACC certified selling through a link on the autographworld website. I got burned on at least 4 or 5 fake items out of maybe 9 items i purchased from them. And the music inventory to this day still has some very questionable pieces. At this point their is really only one person i trust solely with music items and thats Roger Epperson.

Steve,

I went back through this whole thread. I'm no rocket scientist but here is what I gather or confused about is these MJ's are being attributed to an in person autograph collector named Adrian. Correct? These were bought and sold to other dealers by a guy name Domonic Manning. Correct? Atleast that's how I'm following it.

Next these were passed of to other dealers in the UK by Dominic who claimed he obtained these in person but it was later determined that he bought them from one of his suppliers........ this Adrian fellow.

When I google the name it shows this Dominic Manning guy is an AFTAL board member. Based on what I've seen this board member misrepresented these and sold them to other AFTAL dealers as well as some that were not in the "club". No question that these members have seen this thread. Their silence speaks volume.

Looks to me like the authentication ruling was board approved by AFTAL. Doesn't this seem very strange that one of the board members of AFTAL is the one being mentioned of selling these to other unsuspecting dealers like Garry King?  I now think Garry was tossed under the AFTAL garbage truck. Would be embarrassing not to mention very expensive if it was determined that these were indeed forgeries. How much would these AFTAL dealers and possible board member be on the hook for reimbursing unsuspecting collectors they ripped off? Guessing low, what close to $800-$1,500 a pop?

This is why I think AFTAL was created...........to kill the competition from those not in the "club". Very shady in my book. Looks like AFTAL may have had a secret reason to ensure these are ruled authentic.

Again, you hit it right on the head! How can the club be taken seriously when it is un-willing to take action on its own leaders when the need arises? Does the club think at it's members are above the very consequences that it implements on dealers?

Until the "official" AFTAL statement is retracted or amended, I take this statement to be what Garry and the others in charge are operating under.

Hello Rick

Sorry for not seeing your comment sooner, thats quite a statement. !

But I have followed this from August and amazingly your the first person to state all the facts in one reply.

No other UK dealers have acknowledged purchasing / owning or selling anything supplied via anyone you named.

Only Garry King has admitted this and as you can see he has been put in a canoe placed in S**t Creek and left without a paddle !

According to my sources and information on this forum, there are a few un named UK Dealers offering identical Michael Jackson autographs, the same type of signatures that have been questioned by this Forum

These are being offered Privately /  Under the counter and Hidden from their web sites

Why is this ?

These type of Jackson signatures have been passed by AFTAL as 100% genuine in a recent statement, so I am at a loss why these Dealers are passing them off for sale low key !

Regarding the AFTAL  board , can you please advise me how you found the information regarding its board members ? I looked and could not see it on the web site.

Im at a loss what else to say regarding this, and with no response from people you named it is obvious people are just waiting for it to dissapear

Thanks Rick for such a bold statement.

Something very corrupt going on. Looks plain to see to me. Id say AFTAL is Ok with a few forgeries in their midst. I'd like to see Dominic or Adrian come in and state their side. Doubt that happens.

Rick,

I cannot comment about corruption but as I said if they are Genuine why are the UK Dealers selling them secretly ?

These have been certified as 100% Genuine by the AFTAL board.

If I owned some of these examples of Jacksons signature ( which I catagorically State I do not ! ) I would not be afraid of selling them with AFTAL 's guarantee of authenticity

Strange one, why are they doing this ?

Rick,

Yes, the initial source of the forged Michael Jacksons in question is Adrian Longden. Whether he produced them himself or not, I don't know. Dominic Manning was the largest distributor, according to what I was told, but there are, or were, other distributors too, who may or may not have gotten them direct from Longden.

All we can do is speculate whether or not Manning knew they were fake, but I find it unlikely that he didn't know, at least after a while.

But as I mentioned a little while ago, the vast majority of AFTAL dealers joined or helped form AFTAL for the right reasons...not fraudulent ones.

Sorry I'm so behind on replies. I'm hoping to catch up with everything  in this discussion tonight...tomorrow at the latest.

Guys be a little more patient what I do know is dominic because is involved in the whole thing and also in the board of Aftal he has been told no to speak till all the paperwork has been signed , Gary king would love to come and also tell you his side of the story but he is one of three board members so he is not allowed yet either . I believe this is on the final stage that all the documents and statements are almost gathered by the legal team and once that's done I am guessing you will get A Statement from the law firm concerning Aftal , but I have a feeling that individual statement s too from Gary and Dom .

Not sure what about Adrian but am guessing the rest will happen .

Cheers for the update Jason

Its about time this was cleared up

One minute they were called fake, then they are called 100% genuine and its all over the place

Im sure the UK Dealers who are trying to sell these Jacksons secretly would rather know where they stand !
