Paid for the PSA quick peek and it came back "Likely not authentic" but they don't say why they think that.

That's exactly correct! Build a stronger case than singular examples. That just gives the company far too much wiggle room when making a counter case. Take the emotions out and look at the facts. The signatures will always speak for themselves.

Chill Peter.  Brandon is very helpful in a number of ways and if he is thinking one way you can be sure that others who might be reviewing could be thinking the same.

The strongest evidence to date is the many that have failed JSA as well as PSA/DNA.  That doesn't discount the others surfaced but it doesn't provide the same level when EBAY looks at PSA/DNA or JSA findings -vs- everyone else.

DB maybe I was taken out of context, I did'nt mean to sound like I was attacking Brandon I just think there are too many unanswered questions about Gridiron and it is very frustrating to see them sell items by the thousands to people that don't know any better.

Steve (Cyrkin) said it right earlier in this thread. If some are tainted what leads anyone to think they all are'nt.

No problem.  It's easy to make speculative statements that have no specifics behind them as the difficulty is in obtaining support information.  e.g. the helmet just depicted has both PSA & GridAuth.

Could there be a bad batch that somehow got into the mix - are there more?  Is there a mixing of bad & good as Cyrkin speculated on?

How do we entice others to check out   While we may have a toehold we can easily be thrown back into the ocean to flounder unless there is more supporting evidence plus or minus.

The problem we are confronted with is that many, including I, always leaned toward GridAuth being above reproach.  So while eye opening we need more plus or minus examples and it would be helpful if the minus ones had an EBAY respected authenticator at the source or generally accepted.

Well said. The problem is people with good gridauth items probably aren't gonna look for this forum  and post here since they're happy with what they got and have no reason to spread the word. Only people with bad experiences are going to find this forum and post. Which is why you have to put these opinions into context.

I just happened to find this thread while mine was at PSA so it worked out.

I came across this Tom Braday with a gridiron cert on a mini

If you look close it appears that it is a signature over a dried up signature.  Markers do dry up but one would think that's noticed on the first letter.

Are you sure its not a optical illusion due to the camera being out of focus ?

click on the picture and it will expand then u tell me but it looks like it was traced over.  Bring it up to 150 magnify. Optical illusion could be possible especially his 4th qtr play this season.

Looks like it is from the camera.

It's the camera that makes the ink look that way. However that is not an authentic Brady signature. I love the same stock photo that was taken at a free signing his rookie year that they use for every item..

Just sent all my items back to Gridiron for a refund.  They better follow through on their end.

was there any pushback or explanation?   A refund is always good.   It's also a way for some to avoid any downstream unpleasantries as it is often used as an explanation to parry away non-authentic items being sold.
