Hey guys!! I would like for you all to look at these two mantle autos.  They were signed in Atlanta in the 1980's.  If some of you autograph professionals could give me some feed back to these two, that would be great!! Thanks

Bo

Not a Mantle expert by any means, but the bottom one looks weird to me. Also weird he would sign 1952 if he it was signed in the 1980s?

There are several people on here who are great at spotting fake Mantles, hopefully they see this discussion.

I'm sorry I didn't make it clear I'm not sure when the 1952 Team photo was signed. I would guess it was not signed in 1952 due to the blue sharpie he used. But the Perez-Steele and his biography that I have were both signed in atlanta in the 1980s. I will post the book auto soon. Thanks
Hey everyone. I was hoping I would get a few more opinions on these mantle autographs. Any input would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

Bo, post the pix in this discussion: http://live.autographmagazine.com/forum/topics/mantle-williams-and-...

You will likely get more responses there.

top 1 is real bottom 1 looks fake/forged

the first one is probably ok, but the second one has me baffled.  I would not buy it, real or not.

The first one looks ok, but the second one I would stay away from. You can see several areas where there are lighter and darker spots, especially in the l and e in Mantle. The connection of the c and the k in Mickey is very bad. The c normally becomes the left side of the k and here it is separate with another little line added, then the right part of the k.

perez steele is good the team photo mantle is  BAD!!! NO QUESTION  THE FIRST IS GOOD.. -SCOTT

Yay my first post-Anyway,I had a perez -steele in person that is exactly signed like that one, def good. The second one the forger had trouble with the second half of his Ms and the E.
