On December 2, Julien's Auctions is selling The Collection of Tompkins and Bush. The collection contains 465 lots of Michael Jackson memorabilia, 287 of them autographed.

Michael Bush and the late Dennis Tompkins were Michael Jackson's costume designers for 25 years, during Jackson's most successful period. They were the consignors of the signed Thriller jacket that Julien's sold for $1,800,000 in June 2011.

Almost all of the autographs in the Tompkins and Bush sale are a variation I'm not familiar with. I've only been looking at Jackson's autograph for a few years, though, and we have members here who have collected him for decades, so I'd appreciate your input and exemplars.

If you know Michael Jackson's autograph well, please look at a few images below from the auction and let me know what you think. Even better, browse the auction and upload any similar examples you have: http://www.julienslive.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/77/

Julien's is the world's premier auction house for Michael Jackson memorabilia, so they would know his autograph better than most of us. I'm just surprised I haven't seen this style before.

Thanks for your help.

Thank you very much.

You have done a great job of what you are doing, and it's most appreciated. However, if Michael Jackson gave his friend Michael Lee Bush these autographed items, then that speaks for itself on this occasion. I don't think any of us can dispute this or the reputation of Michael Lee Bush, who has nothing what so ever to gain out of it.

again, MLB has nothing to gain, then why is he consigning to this auction?

That seems to be a logical, well thought out ponderance.

The biggest give away for me was the two XX on both MJ(Bush) signature on Juliens auction and the same Bush

Bush probably had never signed his name when he met and worked with MJ 25 years ago, its not beyond belief that Bush liked the way Michael signed his name, they both are Michaels, I'm sure it was never meant as trying to fake MJ's signature

A human being never signed their name until they met Michael Jackson? ....... PLEASE ppl, you OVERT OPERATIVES... pack it in and head home.  GAME OVER.

Surely these items above are not part of Bush's collection that he has entered into the sale, are there other items from other ppl being auction at the same time, these do not look like items Bush would have, they have nothing to do with design and clothing, I went to the Stratford exibition and saw both collections and none of the above items were there (one exception), this needs clarification

Sharon these are all from "he collection of Tompkins and Bush Michael Jackson" http://www.scribd.com/doc/113447457/Juliens-2012-Tompkins-and-Bush-...

Do you know that for certain the above apart from one do not look like something Bush and Tompkins would have in their collection, they are designers they made clothes for Michael, have you checked where the above items have come from, have the auctioneers added other items in a MJ sale

Michael took a very hands on approach to the design and making of his costumes, his alterations could be seen on the first drawings, he made suggestions and improvements on the designs to make it easier to dance, Michael would have signed these clothes to validate and take some credit for the design that was Michael, a lot of the clothes had other writing on them like Thank you, all this on material and leather not the ideal writing surface, I dont believe the above belong to Bush

The signatures on the clothing are the same poorly executed style forgeries as are on page after page of "the other items". THEY ARE THE SAME STYLE SIGNATURE.  Signatures whom no one that has studied Michael Jackson's GENUINE signature over the years has ever seen him produce.

Further the OFFICIAL Julien's Auction Catalog issued by ALL parties involved in the attempted sale of these forgeries is entitled: THE COLLECTION OF TOMPKINS & BUSH: MICHAEL JACKSON.... it does say "and other added items".

Yes you are correct Wendy. Michael was known to give gifts and signed items to people that worked for him and asociates all the time. But again these items are all the same forgery. I can see someoes signature varying, and Michaels did like anyones but these are totally different. I actually have seen some old contracts of Michaels when he was very young and the M slant was more right on occasion, or at the least more up and down. Most (99%) was left slanted. I agree even when sloppy or rushed it had a different flow.
