On December 2, Julien's Auctions is selling The Collection of Tompkins and Bush. The collection contains 465 lots of Michael Jackson memorabilia, 287 of them autographed.

Michael Bush and the late Dennis Tompkins were Michael Jackson's costume designers for 25 years, during Jackson's most successful period. They were the consignors of the signed Thriller jacket that Julien's sold for $1,800,000 in June 2011.

Almost all of the autographs in the Tompkins and Bush sale are a variation I'm not familiar with. I've only been looking at Jackson's autograph for a few years, though, and we have members here who have collected him for decades, so I'd appreciate your input and exemplars.

If you know Michael Jackson's autograph well, please look at a few images below from the auction and let me know what you think. Even better, browse the auction and upload any similar examples you have: http://www.julienslive.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/77/

Julien's is the world's premier auction house for Michael Jackson memorabilia, so they would know his autograph better than most of us. I'm just surprised I haven't seen this style before.

Thanks for your help.

I agree.I like the Thriller era one. The white hat- not so much.

Two more overall compares:

sorry same here. bottom three/four are not real.

(1) Scream, HIStory tour

(2) Invincible inlay card

(3) Beat It single

where did you get that Beat It 45?

Hi Charlotte, This is from an eBay auction a couple of years back.

I misunderstood. I thought you owned these items. The reason I asked is the Beat It 45 belonged to me. It was stolen last year with a lot my MJ collection. I dont know if it was authentic or not- I did have doubts about it.

Update to my compare #1 with top hat example removed. Note, in my second to last and last comparisons, I'd like to know what you all (researched and on topic ppl) think of these 2 examples: 1.) the silvery framed plaque with the 1998 and arrows on bottom, and 2.) the "Beat It" signed 45 sleeve.

Finally, as I do not wish to remove my prior posts as they have been commented on, let me state a correction from use of the term "Authentic" to "Believed Authentic" on the left side of my compares.

Regards.

sorry Wendy. sorry for any trouble. LOVE that Bad one!

:)

Just want this auction to end.

At this point even if it were stopped, MJ's eponymous costumes, his personal property that he won a court settlement with Darren Julien NOT to sell in 2009, has already been scribbled all over (for greed)  :(

Very upsetting Wendy ;((
what i meant to say also was where the Michael is written above the Jackson
don't know if this album is public.. but there are stacks in here!
