On December 2, Julien's Auctions is selling The Collection of Tompkins and Bush. The collection contains 465 lots of Michael Jackson memorabilia, 287 of them autographed.
Michael Bush and the late Dennis Tompkins were Michael Jackson's costume designers for 25 years, during Jackson's most successful period. They were the consignors of the signed Thriller jacket that Julien's sold for $1,800,000 in June 2011.
Almost all of the autographs in the Tompkins and Bush sale are a variation I'm not familiar with. I've only been looking at Jackson's autograph for a few years, though, and we have members here who have collected him for decades, so I'd appreciate your input and exemplars.
If you know Michael Jackson's autograph well, please look at a few images below from the auction and let me know what you think. Even better, browse the auction and upload any similar examples you have: http://www.julienslive.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/77/
Julien's is the world's premier auction house for Michael Jackson memorabilia, so they would know his autograph better than most of us. I'm just surprised I haven't seen this style before.
Thanks for your help.

Here is another real MJ autograph to add to our inventory (arsenal).
I'm fairly sure that I found this on eBay listing some time ago (within the last 3 years).
Here is some of the info I collected on it:
Signed 8x10 color picture of the late "King of Pop," Michael Jackson. He is pictured with his award-winning cinematographer Joseph M. Wilcots and Wilcots' wife and son. Wilcots, was cinematographer for the groundbreaking "Roots" mini-series of the 1970's, worked on several of Michael Jackson's music videos, tours, and related projects. Mr. Wilcots was also the first African American to join the International Cinematographers Guild in 1967. Joseph Wilcots passed away in January of 2010. The photo is inscribed by Jackson to Wilcots' wife Annette.
1000 percent authentic and that's the old style MJ graph he stopped giving later on in his career.
Exactly. He used that circle in his Michael "i" when he was a teenager, I used to think only up until the Thriller era until I saw this from the Bad era.
ahhh lovely family shot.. just beautiful. yet this picture makes me sad. JOE WILCOTS was someone that really had Michael's back.. one of the kindest sweetest, sweetest people ever in MJ's team.
Yes thank you Justin for talking about that. All of the true people in Michael's life who would have protected him from the evil ones were removed, cut-off, separated from him. You can see in this photo how at peace MJ is with the Wilcots family. :'(
I do too Sandy. Yet I do believe it was the same consignor..
EVERYONE stop with this Julien-Bush auction…..We all know all the autograph items are fake and i wouldn't be surprised the worn outfits are just back up outfits Michael didn't even use as well. SMH
Well considering this whole thread is about the Auction/fake sigs, I'm not sure why everyone should "stop". There are several days left to get the word out about the auction and to try to make people aware of the fraudulent items so that they are pulled (just the fraudulently signed items). The more people who send in their own autographs showing differences, spread the word about this thread so others can do comparisons for themselves, and get more expert opinions the better. WE know they are fake... but not everyone is on board in the public community. I am not an expert and was able to spot some really obvious issues just based on one letter. (yes there are a lot of issues, the slant of the writing, the fluidity, the style of writing etc). But I had no clue and wouldn't have questioned the items without coming here to read the threads. I send people in here to read so they understand what is happening. Some people think its just the "fan"atics trying to stop the sale of MJ items.... its not.
